63 Days Pregnant Dog Ran to My Gate Asking for Help

An abandoned expectant dog wandered through the deserted streets. She had been left to look after herself by her initial owners. However, she was about to deliver at any moment, and she knew that she required assistance. 

A plea for Help

With every step that she took, her contractions grew more frequent and severe. She noticed that her body was making the necessary adjustments for the birth of her puppies.  She frantically looked for someone who could offer her assistance until she eventually stumbled upon a neighbour’s house.

An Unanswered Call for Assistance

She hurriedly went to the front door and began scratching at it, whining and whimpering, with the hope that someone would respond to her plea for help. However, despite her attempts, the door remained unanswered. She held on to the hope that someone would come to her rescue, but after hours of waiting, nobody showed up.

A Safe- Haven at Last

After gathering the remnants of her strength, she was as able to get to a veterinarian’s office that was close by. The doctor and his staff members quickly concluded that the dog was in labour, and swiftly took her to a room where delivery preparations were underway. Upon examining the dog, an astonished gasp was heard from the sonographer.

A Bundle of joy 

The dog was not just expecting one or two puppies, but rather twelve. Preparations for the delivery by the vet and his team commenced immediately. The dog was in labour for several hours before the puppies were finally welcomed into the world, one at a time. The tired mother observed her babies getting cleaned up and weighed, her tail wagging with happiness and relief.

Conclusion

At the end of it all, the abandoned dog settled into a new home with the vet and his family. As days passed by, she grew, stronger, happier and gained a boost of confidence. Both she and her puppies were cared for and loved, and together they grew strong and healthy.
