The story of Adam Wylie and his dog, Emra, is the true definition of man and his best friend! A dog that stays with you on the good and bad days is a keeper. This story shows how overwhelmed a veteran became when he met his retired military dog years later. 

The beginning of an unbreakable bond

Adam Wylie is an Air Force petty officer who served abroad from 2012 to 2014. During that period, his ride-or-die partner was his Belgian Malinois military dog called Emra. The duo worked hand in hand through all the tough times, and Adam could always count on his dog for support. 

Adam was adversely affected when he was deployed 25 days after his daughter was born. Fortunately, Emra looked out for him and journeyed the season with him. The military k9 turned 9 years old and was forced to retire. Luckily, Adam was kind enough to adopt her.

A happy reunion after 3 years

You can imagine the joy that filled his heart when Adam met his military dog after three years! The man fought back tears as he shared an intimate moment with Emra, who was equally excited to see him. The veteran looks forward to providing the best environment for his pet away from the military.
