Heroic Dolphins Save A Dog After He Accidentally Falls Into The Sea
Interspecies friendships will never cease to amaze. Getting to witness unlikely duos such as a lion and a warthog will always be a heartwarming experience. However, did you know that these relationships go beyond the fictitious displays of animation? Here in the real world is a tale that showcases the intelligence and compassion of dolphins. It will leave you wide-eyed and in awe of these spectacular animals.
The near-fatal accident
It’s a sunny day in Marco Island, California and unbeknownst to anyone, a cinnamon-brown terrier has just accidentally fallen into a nearby canal. The waters are treacherous and leave little to no room for survival.

Panicked, the dog makes desperate attempts to swim back to land. His hopes are soon dashed when he eventually realizes that all and any efforts will be futile.
Overwhelmed with exhaustion, the dog does whatever little it can to keep itself above water. With no help in sight, it seems like he is certainly doomed.
To the rescue
Fate takes a drastic turn when a pod of dolphins swimming nearby, become aware of the poor animal’s dire predicament. Known for their playfulness and boundless curiosity, the dolphins encircle the dog and create a commotion that grabs the attention of people nearby.
Seeking to find out what is happening, those who approach the scene are pleasantly surprised to find the dolphins engaged in a unified attempt to save the dog. One dolphin supports the furry animal with its protruding snout while another positions itself underneath the dog to give him much-needed buoyancy.
The fire department is immediately alerted to the situation and in little to no time, they arrive and begin organizing a rescue operation. There are many dangers to consider, however, they bravely manage to get the dog safely back to shore, putting an end to a grueling 15-hour ordeal.
The dog is given first aid and lives to see another day all thanks to the friendly sea creatures.

One thing we can learn from this story is that we don’t know everything there is to know about dolphins. They have long been known for their playfulness and remarkably great cognitive function, therefore, it comes as no surprise that they took such great initiative.
