Leonardo DiCaprio jumped into frozen lake to save his dogs

Reminding us of his days in the “Titanic.”

At a sit-down with his “Don’t Look Up” cast members in “Around the Table,” by Entertainment Weekly, Leonardo DiCaprio made a touching revelation that while filming it, he jumped into iced-up waters to save his two rescue Huskies.

DiCaprio’s dogs fall into a frozen lake

DiCaprio, who’s 47 years old, said that the two dogs, Jack and Jill, fell into a frozen lake. He then quickly added that he never understood what one does in a frozen lake.

Coming to DiCaprio’s aid in telling the story, Jennifer Lawrence, his co-star, interrupted him and said that he jumped into the lake after one of the dogs fell in and then the other one jumped in the moment he took the first dog out of the lake.

Explaining the scenario, DiCaprio said that the other dog started to lick the dog that had fallen into the lake and then they all found themselves in the lake together.

According to the Oscar-winning actor, since his dogs live in California, they didn’t understand the idea of a frozen lake.

Jokingly, 31-year-old Lawrence noted that she was sure that everyone was wondering because she also was, and quickly added that DiCaprio got naked inside the car.

Adam McKay, the film’s director, was also present in the panel discussion and he labeled DiCaprio’s dogs as ‘tornadoes.” Lawrence agreed with him and said that the two dogs are “psychotic.”

DiCaprio rescued the two Huskies in 2020 alongside his 24-year-old girlfriend, Camila Morrone, who’s a model. The two also have another Husky called Sally.

Conclusion

This heroic act of jumping into the waters in order to save a life isn’t DiCaprio’s first. In 2019, the “Wolf of Wall Street” star also jumped into the waters in St. Barts while on a yacht to save a man who fell overboard.

Talking to London’s newspaper at that time, The Sun, a source said that in his real-life Hollywood movie, DiCaprio played a blinding role.
