A team of rescuers recently found a mother dog and her three puppies lying helplessly on the ground. The godsend rescuers were from Abrigo Animais Aumigos. The family was tired and the mother was crying because she couldn’t feed her three puppies.

The family’s condition

When the rescuers saw them, they felt sorry because the family was starving. The mother was exhausted from hunger and she had no milk for the little ones. 

All the mother could do was to shed tears and feel the pain. The poor puppies also appeared to be experiencing an excruciating amount of pain. The family grew in poverty and hence were weak and severely malnourished.

The turn of events for the better

The rescuers took the family to a vet after feeding them until the family was satisfied. The vet examined the family and found that their bodies were malnourished and were covered with ticks. Luckily, two of the three puppies were found to be healthier and thus were separated for easier care.

The family was provided healthy food at the vet to help them get better. The mother dog unfortunately had issues with her stomach which meant that she could only be fed little food.

At the vet, Paula, the mother dog and her puppies were fed with lots of proteins. The health condition of the dog family has considerably improved by the third day. The mother could feed herself and her little puppies as well.

On the tenth day, Paula and her puppies looked healthy as they had begun to gain weight. At this point, she could walk around.

Conclusion

Two months later, Paula and her family had fully recovered because of the care and food they received from the rescue center. Afterwards, the three cute puppies were adopted by kind families and Paula was living happily at the rescuer center.
